Beauty Secrets: Primer

How many of you use a primer when applying your make-up? I started about two months ago. I haven't tried many other brands so I can't really compare this product to others but I'm so happy with this one! Once I started using the primer I can really see the difference it has made to my skin. My skin now looks flawless in pictures and no visible pores or lines. The silky, invisible primer smoothes over fine lines and literally fills them in so they are undetectable. It looks entirely natural and can be used under and over foundation or on its own. My make up even looks good after a long day, no need for touch ups. I can't live without this product. Definitely worth trying if you don't use a primer.

What's primer do you use and do you feel it's effective?

Product Review - Spot Patch

I was recently gifted with the gift of all gifts by my friend Sawleha. Unfortunately for me I was born with bad eye brows and bad skin (lol!! not all of us are lucky). I'm usually very lazy to try out new products especially skin products due to my super sensitive skin, which reacts to literally anything and everything but this wonder-product worked perfectly. It's just a little sticker that you apply to the pimple, it's important to ensure your skin is clean before applying, just stick on the infected area and leave for as long as possible. I used my patch at night before bed, and repeated for a few days. I was quite surprised to learn that this little clear sticker actually works. The spot had almost cleared up within two days! It's really nifty to have around especially if you find a spot appearing days before the weekend or a function. The little patch has tea tree oil and salicylic acid which is used to unclog pores and allow the pimple to diminish.

I'm really impressed by this product. Give it a try and let me know what you think. It's called Trouble Clear Patch by Cettua and is available at Clicks stores.

#FBMChallenge

Thank You to Sawleha for sending this picture of herself in her oldest, trendiest clothes.

This little Challenge has forced me to look at my existing closet in a whole new light. I'm sure many of you look in your cupboards every day and think "I have nothing to wear" but it's funny how an outsider would probably die for your closet. It just requires a little bit of thinking and some creativity to put together something new and amazing with everything you already own. I have already thought of so many new ways to wear some of my oldest pieces and I'm glad because I felt guilty for wasting money on items I didn't really need and never wore.

Have a wonderful weekend dolls

My apologies for going completely MIA these past two weeks. I know I proposed a challenge and didn't keep up but in my defense, I had a busy two weeks. I did however, take pics of what I wore and even managed to pull out a couple gems, I also emptied a fraction of my closet which made so much more space for next season's purchases. :)

Day Two, Wednesday

I wore this to a birthday supper. This month my calendar was full of birthdays, mine included. Plaid is so in at the moment so I paired these TopShop pants with a sheer top and barely-there heels.

I usually do wear darker colours but on this particular night I decided to channel my inner RiRi with this super dark lip. I got mixed reviews but I still loved it and will definitely be wearing it more often. (I used a lip pencil because I don't have this colour in a lipstick).

Top: Cotton on (Old)

Pants: Top Shop (New)

Jacket: Forever 21 (Old)

Barely- there Sandals: Steve Madden (New)

Box Clutch: Zara (Old)

Lip: MAC in Currant (lip pencil)

Day 1 #FBMChallenge

My first look of the challenge. Today was a scorcher of a day so I chose a light fabric and loose pants to be comfortable in. The belt was bought about two years ago but the tag came off today only. Are any of you guilty of this?

Paperbag Pants: Top Shop

Golden Oldies

I was tidying my closet this morning when I noticed that I own a lot of new, unworn clothes. For me it's all about the acquisition and once I've claimed possession I tend to forget about what I have. Sometimes I feel there's some favoritism going on in my closet, therefore I've come up with a plan, I am going to challenge myself to wear only my old clothes for the next couple of months, the older the better. Lets see if I can come up with new and inspiring ways to wear the golden oldies residing in the depths of my cupboard. I actually feel bad about being such a waster and hoarder so before I make any more purchases I am going to wear out and rid my wardrobe of the oldies.

Why not join me in my challenge, dig deep in your cupboards, pull out your unused gems and email me a pic of yourself in your oldest yet stylish ensemble. The most stylish ensemble will be posted up on here as well as my Facebook Page, and you may win a prize :)

Get digging n get emailing. Find my email address on the Contacts page.

LOVE PINK

I don't know what to say... Nothing interesting has happened recently except work, work, work. I'm unusually uninspired. For my look this week I chose comfort and well, modesty. When I go shopping I always keep an eye out for good 'Friday Tops'. I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm referring to but for those who don't, 'Friday Tops' are the long, loose-fitting, usually below the elbow tops that we wear to our Friday lunches with the family because the elders are always complaining that we don't dress decent enough therefore we wear these to avoid any such remarks (and to knock back a couple plates of Gran's cooking whilst cleverly disguising the bulge). So thats how the 'Friday Tops' came into existence. I paired my 'Friday Top' with a jeans and some high-tops cos it just seemed like the right thing to do.

P.S Please like my Facebook page Fashioned By Me, I'd really appreciate it. Thank youuu

Have a Great Weekend
