Until further notice....

I have decided to take a break from the blog for a few months as I simply cannot keep up! This year has been crazy thus far with work and my sister's wedding preparations. I have, therefore, decided to take a mini break from the blog to focus on getting my work done. In addition, I want to make the most the Holy Month (Ramadaan) as it somehow ends too soon. I will be back by September with lots of fresh content and consistent posts. Thank you for the support and remember me in your prayers.

Volo Pop - Up Boutique

Last week I attended the launch for the hottest new pop-up boutique to hit our shores, Volo, which means to desire in Latin, is the brainchild of the fashion - forward duo Nabila Rajab and Aadilah Kathrada, whom I happen to know personally (can I just say that there couldn't be a better team behind the brand). The brand hopes to provide fashionistas with the latest looks from the trendiest fashion houses starting with an exclusive range from River Island. Us gals were treated to the latest in fashion trends at the Hotel On The Park. I had such fun tasting all the delectable treats whilst looking for the perfect something to purchase.

The range was perfect for all types of girls, whether you're looking for a little black dress or a chic leather jacket to cover up this winter, they had it all. I picked up a fabulous white on white beaded jacket which I loved so much, I wore it out the store. I'm quite chuffed about this new boutique as they bring individual pieces so I never have to worry about clashing.

If you missed the launch of the boutique, don't despair, there will another new exquisite range gracing our shores soon. Follow @voloboutique on Instagram for more updates.

Break The Rules

Who said you can't wear white to a wedding... or a suit?

I remember when I was a little younger, the thought of wearing white to a wedding was a big no no! Anyone who dare wear white was scandalized for weeks on end. Alas! fashion has evolved and it is now perfectly acceptable to wear white to a wedding. Just don't show up in frock that looks like the wedding gown.

I attended a wedding in Mpumalanga last weekend, the night before I left for my trip I realised that I didn't have anything to wear ( I'm always under the impression that I can just 'wing' it, sometimes it's a winner and sometimes things go horribly wrong but hey that's life). So the night before I searched my cupboard for hidden gems I might have forgotten and came up with this ensemble. I love how some times I pull out the first thing my eyes see and it turns out to be a winner!

My inspiration was Victoria Beckham (all the time), Emma Watson in Saint Laurent for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman and lastly, Kendall Jenner in that sky blue suit! I literally died cos I actually couldn't deal! lol
